Members Challenge ‘Working with Special Effects’ – PDI

Our chairman, Rod Smith, welcomed members who had, somewhat surprisingly, braved the weather to attend!

Several members contributed items this evening.
June Atkinson led with creative changes to her photographs. Choose – an amaryllis flower; select – a section; create pattern.
A cushion perhaps? Wallpaper?

Bob Morgan experimented with a bathroom soap holder, showing the merit of magnification.

Tony McCann showed how, using Layers in Photoshop, one can manipulate both shape and colour.
After a break for coffee and a chat, Veronica Congleton gave a very interesting report on a year-long project carried out with her niece, a councillor in Cullercoats. Local schoolchilren were heavily involved in this Project, aimed at bringing Cullercoats into the spotlight.
