Set Subject – Patterns – 31st October 2022
This was our first set subject competition of the season with the title of Patterns. An interesting topic which left lots of interpretation by members and resulted in a varied selection of images.
Our judge, David Best LRPS from Hexham Photographic Society, provided an excellent commentary and we must thank him for his scoring of the images and patience with adapting to our equipment technical issues at the beginning of the session!
Top image of the evening went to Iain Scott in his first club competition at Ponteland with Heading Out. In second place was Phil Robson’s Urban Design with Sewing Bee by Les Dodd claiming the third spot. David also chose five pictures as Highly Commended; Sage Framed by Tony McCann, The Opera House and Cycler by Michael Ghahari, Porcelain Fungus by Ruth Oatway, and another entry from Phil Robson, Patterns of the Tyne.
Congratulations to all the winners and many thanks to everyone who took party. The winning entries are shown below. You can also click here to see all entries.
